Cullen Finnerty’s Autopsy Showed Degenerative Brain Disease

There was deep sadness among family, friends and fans when Cullen Finnerty, a 30 year old quarterback who won three NCAA Division II football championships, was found dead in the Michigan wilderness in May. Sporting News reported in an article on August 8, 2013 an autopsy on Thursday has revealed a contributing factor to the death of Finnerty was the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which has been found in several football players.
